Overview/Description:
This course provides the skills to recognise and manage an unconscious casualty who is not breathing. Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a vital skill that can save a casualty’s life when they have stopped breathing. This Course focuses on practising this skill on our state-of-the-art adult, junior and baby CPR manikins.
Course content:
- Principles of First Aid
- Legal issues in First Aid
- Examining a casualty
- The chain of survival
- Basic life support chart
- Emergency action plan
- Managing the unconscious casualty
- Airway management
- Rescue breathing and chest compressions (adult, child and infant)
- First aid hygiene
The nationally recognised Perform CPR Certificate is valid for a period of 12 months.
