On-water operations and training

Marine

INLOC has over 50 divers and crew, a small fleet of dive vessels and a team of highly qualified instructors.

This enables INLOC to deliver on-water operations and training in a wide range of marine projects and environments. INLOC’s experienced instructors can provide training in small vessel operating qualifications across a broad spectrum, from the recreational user to professionals needing it for work requirements.

Some examples of INLOC’s programs include:

INLOC delivers the on-water operations of RRRC’s Crown of Thorns Starfish (COTS) Management Program, funded by the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. INLOC’s operations extend from Lizard Island to Hamilton Island, giving our four crews responsibility for COTS control in some of the world’s most fabulous marine habitats.

The Traditional Owner Partnership COTS Control Course builds the capacity of emerging indigenous leaders from communities along the Great Barrier Reef Coast to support their community’s capability to manage their own sea country.  This ranges from environmental protection to fisheries, eco-tourism and aquaculture. The Program, funded by GBRF and led by the Reef and Rainforest Research Centre, runs until 2024.
